Relicvariu, found hand-shaped piece of oak and whitened silver cast from sculpted candle wax.

Antiquity considered silver to result from a forest fire, from gigantic burnouts of unequaled regenerative power, as silver emerges out of what is the the ruin of the wooden state of matter.

Reflection and receptacle as one and the same thing. Akin to the silver metal itself, soul memories crave protection and attention to be able to reflect back. Keeping the silver reflectable is answering to its inherent necessity of repeated polishing and worrying over the natural tarnishing of time and oversight.

Apele îndrăgostite, pencil and paper silver holders.
They embody the alchemical process of turning a love dream into form by way of the two creational elements of water and fire. Not only through the actual creative process of casting wax into water and its final silver transmutation, but deeper still, through the inviting act of writing a letter of deep devotional affection. A sacred intimacy is born, a third thing of unpredictable prophetic power.

An allegorical investigation surrounding the Transylvanian Saxon symbols found in Carl Franz Koch’s book from 1826. Elements of mythology, natural history and imaginary abstractions interweave with the rudimental danga, while illuminating new connections and expanding possibilities.
